Introduction
Pramod has a large South African layout in a room 14 meters by 8 meters (many, many feet!). This is possibly
the largest South African layouts in the country. The layout is
loosely based on Durban harbour leading up to the mountains. There is plenty, and I do mean plenty,
freight, main line and suburban rolling stock.
Apart from a double mainline being fitted with catenary at this moment, little jewels abound : a magnificent Gold Mine Structure, a 60cm tall
HO scale Liebherr tower crane, a large foundry / smelter complex and much much more. It was a great experience for all members present!

8m Wide

The altitude continually increases from the harbour on the left

12m Long
An attempt to show the full length of the layout:
to the left is the harbour, to the right is the shunting yard
while, hidden in the distance behind the mountains, is the smelter complex

This magnificent shaft stands in the foreground of the rest of the mine buildings
