A visit to Reef Steamers in Germiston

Introduction
Reefsteamers was started in the early 90's to preserve the remaining ex Railways Steam Engines. They are based at the old Germiston Steam Loco Depot in some buildings dating from 1910. Reef Steamers run monthly trips to Heidelberg, Springs, West Rand, Pretoria and Magaliesburg. They also do special trips on request, all with steam engines. - SAR Class 15 F No. 3016
- SAR Class 15 F No. 3046
- SAR Class 15 F No. 2914 [handbomber]
- SAR Class 15 CA No. 2056
- SAR Class 25 No. 3472
- SAR Class 10 Class No. 735
- An Original A class No. 130
and even a steam crane made by J. Booth & Brothers in Rodley Leeds in 1936.
